Research
Research is essential to our work because we want to deliver the most needed assistance to the most vulnerable people as efficiently as possible.
Currently, we are implementing a research project in Ninewah, Diyala, Kirkuk and Sulimania in coordination with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Berghof Foundation and GIST. The aim of the research is to strengthen infrastructures for peace in Iraq by exploring the impacts of climate-induced migration on social cohesion, particularly among marginalised groups. The data collection will take the form of 72 Key Informant Interviews and 8 Focus Group Discussions.
The findings from this research will inform policy briefs, community dialogues, and actionable strategies for peacebuilding and governance.
